Our family, our craft

For over 150 years, the Klotz family has worked the deep red soil beneath The Hummock, the ancient volcano on Queensland’s subtropical coast. What began in 1873 as a venture into sugarcane has evolved into a legacy of innovation, integrity, and quiet determination.

In 2006, the family made a bold shift, planting their first 25,000 macadamia trees - not as a trend, but as a long-term commitment to grow something exceptional. The trees thrived, and so did their passion. Today, the family produces thousands of tonnes of premium macadamias each year, leading a network of like-minded growers who share their vision for excellence.

Behind every harvest stands a dedicated team bringing knowledge, craftsmanship, and care to every stage of the process. Together, they carry forward a six-generation legacy built on respect for the land and love of exceptional food. This is where heritage and innovation meet. Where patience shapes perfection. And where macadamias are, in every sense, made meaningful.

Single variety macadamias

At Native & Noble, we do things differently, right down to the variety of each nut.

Our macadamias are grown, harvested, and processed as single varieties, never mixed. This rare level of precision allows us to preserve the distinct flavour, texture, and natural sweetness of each one.

Across our orchards, our varieties are carefully grown and segregated by channel to ensure absolute purity and traceability. Each is tested to determine which performs best in every product, from whole nuts to butters and oils.

This commitment to single variety excellence defines the unmistakable uniqueness, quality and taste of Native & Noble Australian Macadamias.

Growing with purpose

For the Klotz family, sustainability is more than a practice. It’s a promise to the land that has sustained them for generations. Every orchard decision begins with respect for the red volcanic soil and a commitment to leave it richer than it was found.

Water is managed carefully, soils are nurtured as living ecosystems, and technology is used thoughtfully to reduce waste and increase efficiency. From reusing by-products to partnering with like-minded innovators, every detail reflects a long-term vision: to grow the finest macadamias in a way that honours both nature and craft.

Sustainability isn’t a trend here. It’s the quiet rhythm of how we farm - today, tomorrow, and for generations to come.
